SENIOR PIPING DESIGNER

Responsible for directing strategy, constructability,managing and overseeing all EPC construction activities in oil & Gas activities On Shore and shallow water, outperforming the defined objectives, deliver industry leading safety performance within the required Nigerian construction industry standards

• Produce detail Alignment Sheet/Profile Drawing for Construction purpose
• Produce pipeline all necessary typical Drawing for Construction purpose
• Studies scope of work and produces basic drawings
• Generate drawing with high accuracy and correctness prior to issuance of drawings for construction and bill of materials (BOM) for procurement
• Produce material take-offs, contingency allowances for all pipeline components required to complete the project
• Input for resolution of client engineering queries
• Compliance in accordance with HSE Standard

• Professional Diploma in Computer Related Course or Certificate in Auto-CAD Drafting
• Able to demonstrate a broad knowledge of Auto-CAD drafting and designing methods for various pipeline systems; In-depth knowledge of the industry’s standards and regulations for drafting
• Excellent knowledge to convert survey Right of Way drawings into Pipeline Alignment Sheet. Ability to use judgment and make decisions in ambiguous or pressure situations
• Must keep up to date with relevant codes of practice & relevant mandatory regulations
• Be able to evaluate survey reports offering clear and concise guidance for other disciplines to follow
• Methodical and diligent with outstanding planning abilities; An analytical mind able to “see” the complexities of procedures and regulations
• Good verbal and written communication skills

• Minimum of 12 years previous Designing/Drafting checking experience with at least several years as senior drafting team member in onshore/offshore pipeline drafting activities
